Ramona Braganza Founder & Chair

Celebrity trainer and Global fitness expert Ramona Braganza love of fitness and quest for excellence has facilitated the transformation of hundreds of bodies and attitudes worldwide.

 

Recognized as one of the top Personal Trainers in the world among the entertainment industry, Ramona worked as Jessica Alba’s personal trainer for over12 years and continues to train celebrities with the most recent being Dakota Johnson, Zoe Saldana, Paula Patton and Jamie Dornan. In the past she has also trained such female clients such as Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale, Amanda Seyfried, Ashlee Simpson, Eva Mendez and Scarlett Johansson. Male clients she has worked with include, Zac Effron, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, Tom Welling and Michael Weatherly.

 

Many of her famous clients were shaped using Ramona’s  3 2 1 Training Method of 3 CARDIO segments, 2 CIRCUIT strength training segments and 1 CORE segment. Capable of giving her female clients long lean definition she is equally capable of adding size and strength to her male clientele by drawing from her intense weight training and fitness competition background.

 

Due to her expert knowledge, Ramona has made International editorial contributions to Shape, Marie Claire, Men’s Health, Allure, Fit Pregnancy, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Woman’s World, Self, Women’s Health and Fitness, Glamour, Cosmo Girl, Vogue, In Style, People, US Weekly, In Touch OK and many more and is also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post. She has been a spokeswoman for Kraft Foods’ South Beach Diet, Coca Cola /Glaceau Vitamin water, Pirate Brand’s Pirate Booty Snacks, Omron’s Go Smart Pedometers, You Tonics, and as a Fitness Expert panel member for Gold’s Gym’s Fitness Institute.

 

Ramona’s global name continues to grow with much of it taking place in India a new market for her talents. In 2014 India Vogue magazine nominated her  “Fitness Expert of the year closely followed by the release of her new book “Feel Fit Look Fantastic in 3 2 1”. Her recent launch of franchise opportunity “myhomefitness by Ramona Braganza ” an in home on demand training program is successfully educating and training the local Indian population.

 

Recognizing a need for more female trainers in India and seeing a population of young females saved from trafficking that she and others could employ Ramona set out to form an international charity 3 2 1 Empower. Providing the education and opportunity these young women need to start their own business by bringing wellness to themselves and others.

USA BOARD MEMBERS

Cathleen DeWitt 

Cathleen DeWitt serves on the Board of Directors as Secretary for 3 2 1 Empower. Cathleen has become an expert in cardiovascular health, fitness, and nutrition after being born with a congenital heart problem which has required 4 major open heart surgeries at Cedars Sinai, Los Angeles. She believes a wellness mindset helps people to remain "patient, calm, and composed" through life's biggest trials. She has a passion for helping other women discover their own power and independence through fitness.

 

Cathleen is a published author, studied Health Care Administration at California State University, Long Beach, and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. She chose to dedicate her life to others and now also holds a degree in Nursing. Cathleen's entrepreneurial focus inspires her to advocate for cardiac patients around the world in achieving their personal goals. Cathleen brings this passion to 3 2 1 Empower and looks forward to promoting a positive wellness community for young ladies worldwide. 

Dawn Maniglia

With 30 years of public and media relations experience in and passion for consumer healthcare, traditional pharma, health & wellness, advocacy and consumer public relations, Dawn plays a valuable role in developing and implementing a broad range of integrated media and marketing communications initiatives for clients. Dawn specializes in creative and strategic counsel, plan development, and the implementation of national and grassroots media campaigns that generate results. She provides strategic counsel to clients and for plan development, implementation and media coverage for clients in Consumer, Pharma and Biotech practices, including for Astellas C3 Prize, Amgen Breakaway from Cancer, AmorePacific, Allergan (BOTOX, Juvederm, Vivite), Nu Skin Enterprises, Remington Products Company and The Coca-Cola Company among others. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications and a double-minor degree in psychology and creative writing from Ithaca College, New York.

Savita Iyer 


Savita is a journalist and writer whose articles and essays have appeared in multiple publications, including SELF, Teen Vogue, Vogue India, Yahoo Lifestyle, and Refinery 29.

 

She is currently the senior editor of Penn State University’s alumni magazine, The Penn Stater.

 

Born in India and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, Savita has also lived in and worked from The Netherlands and India. She cares deeply about the girls and women in her country of origin. Savita is fluent in French and Spanish, is widely traveled, and is currently at work on her first novel.

Denise Villanueva

Known as a collaborative executive leader, Denise, a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Economics has been a key player with Fortune 500 companies and high-profile brands in the areas of strategic planning, business development, branding, comprehensive communications and events in the sports, entertainment, fashion and philanthropic sectors. Including the renowned World of Children, L Brands (Victoria’s Secret et al.), The Walt Disney Company, Magic Johnson Foundation, Magic Johnson Enterprises, the Los Angeles Raiders, and IBM. Being a part of 321 Empower and what it is set out to do to help - especially young girls - is inspiring work to Denise and imperative for the future of children.

CANADA BOARD MEMBERS

Sasha Aristotle

 

Sasha Aristotle is an undergraduate student pursuing History, English and Economics at the University of Toronto. Her work and volunteer experience has largely concentrated on initiatives relating to human rights and literacy, two of her most longstanding passions. 

Sasha has most recently worked as a summer research assistant for both the University of Oxford and a consulting project for the legal team of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, a London-based national human rights institution. She has also worked in corporate and securities law, most recently on special projects for the CEO at one of Canada’s leading independent asset managers. 


In addition, Sasha has also worked as a Junior Fellow for the Canadian International Council and as an editor for the Hart House Review, the University of Toronto’s literary publication. She is a current Editor-in-Chief of Intra Vires, the University of Toronto’s undergraduate legal journal, and Managing Director of Research for the Canadian Centre for the Responsibility to Protect. Sasha has also volunteered for many years with both Amnesty International and the Leacock Foundation, where her work has largely centered around editorial and literacy-related initiatives respectively. 


Upon completing her undergraduate degree, Sasha intends to attend law school. 

 

Eleanor Mah 

 

 

Eleanor has over 18 years of luxury Corporate and Hospitality leadership experience.  She has built strong rapport and relationships with clients and infuses all of her positions with drive, passion and enthusiasm.  In her roles, she has played an integral part in sales/marketing, business development and client relationship management for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and Tiffany & Co. 

 

Eleanor lives in Vancouver and enjoys travelling, health & fitness and photography.  She is inspired by people who genuinely care about social causes that promote positive change, confidence and kindness to better themselves and service to others.  3 2 1 Empower embodies these values and is looking forward to being part of this passion project.

Janet Thom 

 

Janet grew up on beautiful Vancouver Island and moved to Vancouver to attend University of British Columbia where Janet earned a Bachelor of Science and A Doctor of Dental Medicine.

 

Janet has leant her time in a variety of volunteer capacities including but not limited to:

-Mentor to 2 UBC dentistry recent graduates and one 3rd year student. 

- BCDA Mentorship task force 2017

-became Fellow of the American College of Dentists 2017 (promoting ethics in dentistry) 

-Volunteer instructor in Ethics course for 1st year UBC Dental students 2017-2018

-Became Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy 2017 (promoting ethics and giving back in dentistry) 

-Member BCDA (BC Dental Association) Board of directors as a Vancouver rep 2015-2017

-Chair of Women in Dentistry Mentorship Committee (planning leadership conferences for women dentists) 2015-2017

-Chair Midwinter Clinic Committee of the Vancouver Dental Society 1996

-Board Member Vancouver Dental Society 1995-1997

-Member Review committee of the College of Dental surgeons 1995-1998

 

She is active in volunteering at her  two teenage son’s high school and in their high performance soccer league  As a health care provider, healthy eating and fitness have always been an important part of her life. 

Supriya Kapoor 

 

 

Supriya Kapoor serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors of 3-2-1 Empower. 

 

Supriya is currently Chief Compliance Officer and a member of the executive management team at West Face Capital Inc., a Toronto-based alternative asset manager which focuses on distressed, event-driven, opportunistic and special situation investments.  Supriya has approximately 25 yeas experience in the financial services industry with approximately 18 years in regulatory compliance across a wide range of registrants, products and services,  jurisdictions, boards and independent review committees.

 

Supriya chairs and is a member of various investment regulatory industry committees, presents at conferences and seminars in Canada and the US and is the co-author of the “Managing Risk” Chapter in “How to Start and Grow a Successful Hedge Fund in Canada” (2014).  She has a CPA designation from Delaware and most importantly, is a mom to 2 amazing kids.  She passionately believes that each person has a duty to help others and is looking forward to helping with this amazing initiative.
